moon cycles effect on plants

Like how the moon pulls the water in the ocean to create tides, it also has the same effect on the water in plants. This is why it is important to follow the moon cycles when planting or harvesting, because when the the moon is coming up to a full moon (waxing), the water is drawn up into the upper plant, so therefore it is best to plant seedlings at this time because the moon will draw them up. Whereas, when the moon is coming down from a full moon (waning), it is best to plant root vegetables and prune trees as the water and energy is pulled down into the roots.
